Macon is a city in Georgia. It is known as the heart of Georgia as it is located in the center of the state. It is the county seat of Bibb County. The well-known city of Atlanta is 85 kilometers south of Macon. According to the US Census Bureau, the city stretches over 56.3 square miles.

Macon is among the Fall Line Cities of Georgia, with Columbus and Augusta. The fall line is the point where the hilly lands of Piedmont Plateau meet the coastal plain. This city has a varied landscape with flat plains and rolling hills. A number of rivers flow through this region with Ocmulgee River being the major one. Macon is home to 153,691 people.

This city has many tourist attractions and is a fun place to visit. It is home to many arts and cultural facilities and historical museums.
